Random noise in which all frequencies possess the same energy density is white noise.

Furthermore, the application of white noise has been shown to significantly improve sedation and anxiety scores, providing patients with a more comfortable treatment experience.

White noise can help improve cognitive function. Research indicates that white noise reduces environmental distractions, enhances attention and concentration, improves learning and memory, and enhances performance on tasks involving sequential short-term memory.
White noise has also been demonstrated to be effective in alleviating some symptoms of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adults. White noise can help improve reading speed, speech recognition, control of external behaviors, enhance awareness, assist with working memory tasks, and improve task accuracy.
