Hybrid pak choy

  • Also known as Xiao Pak Choy, is mostly used for noodlesstir-fry and soups.

  • It is recommended to cook Hybrid Pak Choy before consumption as raw Pak Choy contains myrosinase which may hinder thyroid function by preventing the body from absorbing iodine.

  • Please note that people taking long-term blood-thinning medications such as Coumadin, or warfarin, should not suddenly increase or reduce the amount of Hybrid Pak Choy intake.

  • Hybrid Pak Choy is:

    • an excellent source of vitamin K which plays a role in blood clotting.

    • an excellent source of vitamin C which is essential for prevention of cancer.

  • Hybrid Pak Choy has a high water content and very low calories (15kcal in 100g).
